Kusakabe Kanso Houba Leaves (100 pieces) 

Large dried magnolia leaves, measuring 36-40cm 

How to Use: Soak the dried leaf in warm water for a few minutes until softened and pliable, then pat dry. Traditionally used as a natural base for houba miso — miso, spring onion and sometimes meat or mushrooms are placed on the leaf and grilled or warmed over a small burner, with the leaf lending a subtle aroma to the food. Also used to wrap and present other grilled or steamed dishes.

Storage: Store unused leaves flat, away from direct sunlight, somewhere cool and dry. The leaf is for aroma and presentation rather than eating, and is discarded after use.
